FX Crowley

FX Crowley served as the Business Manager and Trustee for the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), Local 16 in San Francisco for 15 years. Since forming the FX Crowley Company in 2013, he has used his experience, professional contacts and business relationships to help other local unions secure their future.
Unions have hired FX to help them pass prevailing wage legislation, enforce labor contracts and secure new employer agreements.
FX has served as President and Commissioner of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission as well as San Francisco Port Commissioner. He also served three terms on San Francisco Travel’s Board of Directors and has been a member of the San Francisco Labor Council’s Executive Board since 1994.

Nancy Hayden Crowley
FX’s business partner and wife, Nancy Hayden Crowley, spearheads communications and marketing support for labor relations’ issues and non-profit clients. A veteran in the communications industry with more than 30 years experience in public relations, marketing and fund raising, she shares FX’s passion for helping working people and non-profit organizations.
One of Nancy’s most profound strengths lies in her ability to steer clients in the right direction, honing messages that tell clients’ key audiences “what’s in it for them.”
“The biggest mistake we make is talking about how an idea helps us,” she says. “We need to take that idea and focus on how it helps our target audience – such as union members, community folks or the media.”
Nancy develops and distills client messages across a variety of platforms, from press releases to web pages to e-mails and newsletters. She is an award-winning publicist, garnering the 2014 national “Best Pitch” from Michael Smart’s Inner Circle as well as 2015 runner-up “Best Pitch” honors for her media placements on behalf of Save the Redwoods League and the San Francisco Zoo.
